Food Labelling Services comments:

In May 2016, there was a vote by the MEP's to make country of origin labelling mandatory for meat and milk. They argue that mandatory labelling would help improve consumer confidence in food products by making the food supply chain more transparent. France has already started to label country of origin for milk, and now that Italy is following, the labelling of country of origin for milk and milk products may become standard.
