Food Labelling Services comments:

This comes as no surprise as the majority of supplements that are sent to us for checking, particularly imports from the USA, are non-compliant. The UK did not take part in this survey, which is to its detriment in our opinion. All food and food supplements that are distance sold (ie over the internet) have to compley to the Food Information Regulations (EU)1169/2011 and Directive 2002/46/EC on Food Supplements. With more and more products being sold over the internet, the authorities will have to establish procedures to ensure that these products are compliant.
